PDF Master – Refunds & subscriptions

1. 7-day refund, no questions

If Pro isn’t right for you, you can get a full refund within 7 days of your purchase or annual renewal. You don’t need to give a reason.

  • Within 48 hours of purchase: you can ask for a refund directly on Google Play’s refund request page. Google handles these automatically. We have no control over Google’s decision.
  • Between 48 hours and 7 days: email us at contact@appwiz.net with your Google Play order number. It starts with GPA. and is in your Google receipt email or at pay.google.com.
    • We process your refund in the Google Play Console within 72 hours.
    • Once it’s issued, your bank or payment provider usually takes 3 to 5 business days (up to 10, depending on your bank) to credit your statement.

A refund removes Pro on that Google account. PDF Master then shows “Pro isn’t active on this phone”, usually within a few minutes.

2. Plans

Pro is one unlock with every Pro tool. There are three plans, all bought through Google Play:

  • Lifetime: one payment. Not a subscription, nothing to renew.
  • Monthly: a subscription that renews every month until you cancel it.
  • Yearly: a subscription that renews every year until you cancel it.

Prices are shown in the app and on Google Play, in your local currency. This page doesn’t list them.

3. Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel a Monthly or Yearly subscription anytime in Google Play:

Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → PDF Master → Cancel subscription

Shortcut from PDF Master: Settings → Your plan → Manage subscription opens the same Google Play page.

Uninstalling or deleting PDF Master does not cancel your subscription or stop renewal charges. You have to cancel it in Google Play.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and your files stay untouched. PDF Master shows that end date under Your plan (for example Pro · Monthly · Ends followed by the date).

Cancelling isn’t a refund. It doesn’t return any money for the period you’ve already paid for. To get your money back, ask for a refund within 7 days of buying Pro or of an annual renewal (see section 1).

4. Switching plans

You switch plans in PDF Master, on Pro details. To get there, open Settings and tap Your plan (for example Pro · Monthly), or tap the Pro chip on Home. Google Play takes the payment.

What you can switch to depends on your plan:

  • Monthly: switch to Yearly, or get Lifetime.
  • Yearly: get Lifetime. There’s no direct switch to Monthly (see below).

Plan changes aren’t offered while your subscription is paused, or while Google Play has a payment problem with it. If there’s a payment problem, fix the payment in Google Play first.

From Monthly or Yearly to Lifetime

On Pro details, tap Get Lifetime and pay once. This also works if you’ve already cancelled your subscription and it’s still running to the end of the period you paid for.

If your subscription still renews, PDF Master first tells you that buying Lifetime doesn’t cancel it. Tap Buy Lifetime to continue, or Close. If you’ve already cancelled, nothing will renew, so there’s no warning and Get Lifetime goes straight to payment.

Buying Lifetime does not cancel your subscription. Google Play keeps renewing it until you cancel it yourself. After you buy Lifetime, cancel your subscription in Google Play so you’re not charged again (see section 3). Until you do, PDF Master reminds you in three places:

  • Settings: under Your plan, “Monthly subscription still renews · cancel it in Google Play” (or Yearly).
  • Home: the Pro chip turns amber, with a warning icon.
  • Pro details: “You still have a subscription. Cancel it in Google Play so you’re not charged again.”, with an Open Google Play subscriptions button that takes you there.

The reminder follows your Google account, so it also shows on your other phones and after you reinstall PDF Master. It goes away shortly after you cancel, usually within seconds and at most a couple of minutes.

Once you cancel, the subscription runs to the end of the period you paid for and then stops. You keep Pro, because Lifetime covers it.

Tip: cancel your subscription in Google Play first, then buy Lifetime. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for, and Lifetime takes over.

Example: you’re on Monthly, and your next renewal is on 20 March. On 5 March you buy Lifetime, so Pro is now yours for good. Cancel Monthly in Google Play that same day. If you forget, Google Play charges you for another month on 20 March.

From Monthly to Yearly

Switch to yearly shows on Pro details only while your Monthly plan is active. If you’ve cancelled Monthly, tap Resubscribe on Pro details first, and then Switch to yearly appears.

On Pro details, tap Switch to yearly. Google Play shows the Yearly price as today’s charge. Tap Subscribe.

  • The switch happens right away. Google Play charges the full Yearly price that day.
  • The unused part of your monthly payment isn’t lost. Google Play works out what it’s worth and adds that much time to your Yearly plan, so your first Yearly renewal comes a little later. Google Play doesn’t show this on the payment screen. You can see your next payment date in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
  • There’s nothing to cancel. Yearly replaces Monthly, so you won’t be charged for Monthly again.
  • PDF Master shows Pro · Yearly within a few minutes.

Example: your Monthly plan renewed on 1 March. On 16 March you tap Switch to yearly. Google Play charges the Yearly price on 16 March. About half of your March payment is unused, so Google Play adds its value as extra days on Yearly. Your next renewal is a year after 16 March, plus those days.

From Yearly to Monthly

You can’t switch from Yearly to Monthly directly. To change, cancel Yearly in Google Play (see section 3). It runs to the end of the year you paid for. When it ends, open the Pro tab in PDF Master and choose Monthly.

5. Restoring Pro on a new phone

Pro comes back with your Google account. On your new phone, sign in to Google Play with the same Google account you bought Pro with, then open PDF Master. Pro turns on by itself, usually within a few minutes. You don’t need to tap anything.

If Pro still isn’t on after a few minutes, open the Pro tab and tap Restore (“Already bought Pro? Restore”). If PDF Master says “No Pro purchase found on this Google account”, check that Google Play is using the account you bought Pro with.

This also works after you reinstall PDF Master or clear its data.
